Open the Rider app whenever you want and start earning money

Log into the app whenever you are in a Deliveroo zone, if applicable, during delivery hours. As long as you are online, we will show you available orders. To help you save time and increase your earnings, the Rider app will show you the busy zones on a map. You can stay connected for as long or as little time as you wish. It's up to you!

Accept and go

While you’re online, we’ll offer you orders to deliver. If it suits you, press to accept the delivery.

Collect the order

You'll see a map with the indicative route to the restaurant. Show a staff member your screen to collect your packed order.

Deliver the order and make a customer’s day!

Next, we'll show you a suggested route to the customer. After you've delivered their order, you're ready to accept a new order if you wish.

Make sure you have your ID card or passport, as well as your proof of right to work and your self-employed/independant status.

  • Becoming or returning as a rider

    Conditions to become a rider

    To ride with Deliveroo, you need to have at least:

    • Proof of your right to work in France (ID card, passport, or residence permit allowing you to work in France) as an independent/self-employed worker
    • Registration as a self-employed worker in France
    • A smartphone - (iOS 13.6 and above) or Android (6.0 and above)
    • Your own vehicle (bicycle or scooter) with the necessary safety equipment
    • A bank account

    You must also:

    • Be over 18 years old
    • If you are registering with a scooter:

    Social and tax obligations of a rider

    Under the agreement with Deliveroo, as with any Supplier Agreements, there are fiscal and social obligations that fall on you.

    Returning as a rider

    As a former rider, you have the option to resume delivery with Deliveroo, provided you provide all the required documents proving your compliance.

    It is also necessary to meet certain conditions listed below:

    • Have previously been a rider with Deliveroo
    • Not have had a Supplier Agreement previously terminated by Deliveroo for another serious negligence or breach of contractual obligations, except for reactivations following terminations re-evaluated within the framework of social dialogue.

    Please be advised that your request will be reviewed by our teams based on our needs. Therefore, we cannot guarantee an immediate resumption of the partnership.

    Our teams will verify your documents and provide you with a response as soon as possible.

    What documents are required to resume delivery?

    If you meet the required conditions, we will ask you to provide the following documents:

    1. An identity document proving your right to work independently in France.

    Accepted documents include:

    • French national identity card
    • National identity card of the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland
    • Passport from the EEA or Switzerland
    • Another passport (non-EEA) with a valid visa (including immigration status), accompanied by a biometric residence permit
    • Residence permit granting the right to work in France (non-salaried activity)
    • Any other document attesting to the right to work independently in France

    2. A document proving the existence of your company dated within the last 30 days.

    Accepted documents include:

    • KBIS 
    • Registration certificate
    • Situation notice from the SIRENE directory

    3. Documents constituting the obligation of vigilance:

    - For companies older than 6 months:

    • Certificate of vigilance
    • KBIS or equivalent
    • And the list of foreign workers

    Note: The documents must be dated within the last 6 months.

    - For companies less than 6 months old:

    • Affiliation certificate to be requested from Urssaf or Certificate of vigilance (or if you are registered as a commercial company, a tax regularity certificate of less than 6 months, to be requested from the Business Tax Department / SIE)
    • KBIS or equivalent
    • And the list of foreign workers

    Note: The documents must be dated within the last 6 months.

  • What insurance does Deliveroo provide?

    1. Free professional liability insurance

    Deliveroo provides free professional liability insurance for all riders delivering with a bike. This insurance covers all injuries and material and non-material damage to another party whilst working with Deliveroo.
    Note: riders using scooters will need professional liability insurance for their vehicle.

    2. Free accident cover

    Our market-leading insurance cover means that whenever you’re out on the road with us, you’re protected in the event of an accident. Plus, if an injury happens while you're delivering with Deliveroo, it provides financial support to help cover your medical fees.

    3. Free sickness cover

    Every rider in France has access to sickness cover with Deliveroo, which covers earnings loss in case of illness.

  • How do I get paid?

    You'll get paid for every order you deliver, based on factors like distance travelled. You will be informed of the delivery price before accepting the order.

    Fees are paid every two weeks, on Wednesday. If you want your fees sooner, you can use our cash-out feature in the app.

    You'll keep 100% of your rider tips from customers. These are paid at the same time as the rest of your fees.

  • What do I need to do to benefit from the professional liability insurance?

    Nothing!

    It applies from the moment you go online until you are offline.
