Accept and go

While you’re online, we’ll offer you orders to deliver. Tap to accept the order.

Collect the order

You'll see a map with the route to the restaurant. Show a staff member your screen to collect your packed order.

Make a customer’s day – deliver their food!

Next, we'll show you a suggested route to the customer. After you've delivered their food, you're ready to accept a new order.

Applying online is easy

Make sure you have your ID card or passport, as well as your proof of right to work and your self-employed status.

Frequently asked questions

  • What are the requirements for being a rider?

    To ride with Deliveroo you’ll need:

    • Proof of your right to work in France as self-employed (identity card, passport or residence permit allowing you to work in France)
    • A smartphone – (iOS 13.6 and above) or Android (6.0 and above)
    • Your own vehicle (bicycle or scooter) with the necessary safety equipment
    • Transport capability if you deliver with a scooter
    • A bank account

    You must also:

    • Be over 18
    • Have insurance for your scooter
  • What documents do I need?

    A document to prove your right to work in France, which could be:

    • An EEA passport
    • A French identity card
    • A non-EEA passport, with valid visa (including immigration status) and a Biometric Residence Permit

    Administrative documents to deliver as a self-employed rider:

    • Your self-employed status
    • Your Kbis extract
    • A vigilance certificate

  • What insurance does Deliveroo provide?

    1. Free accident cover

    Our market-leading insurance cover means that whenever you’re out on the road with us, you’re protected in the event of an accident. Plus if an injury happens while you're delivering with Deliveroo, it provides financial support to help cover your medical fees.

    2. Free professional liability insurance

    Deliveroo provides free professional liability insurance for all riders delivering with a bike. This insurance covers all injuries and material and non-material damage to another party whilst working with Deliveroo.
    Note: riders using scooters will need professional liability insurance for their vehicle.

    3. Free sickness cover

    Every rider in France has access to sickness cover with Deliveroo, which covers earnings loss in case of illness.

  • How do I get paid?

    You'll get paid for every order you deliver, based on factors like distance travelled. You'll see the fee upfront so you can choose which orders you want to complete.

    Fees are paid every two weeks, on Wednesday. If you want your fees sooner, you can use our cash out feature in the app.

    You'll keep 100% of your rider tips from customers. These are paid at the same time as the rest of your fees.

  • What do I need to do to benefit from the professional liability insurance?

    Nothing!

    It applies from the moment you go online until you are offline.
